General FAQs
Q -
Slate Gifts FAQs
Q - Can I order a personalised or custom product?
A - Yes. Most of our products can be personalised with names, numbers, logos or custom designs. Simply enter your details on the product page or contact us for bespoke requests.
Q - I can’t see/find the design I want, can you do ‘requests’, i.e. make to order?
A - Yes, of course. That's what we do best. Simply fill in the contact form (found at the bottom of every page) with a brief outline of your requirements and we will get back to you ASAP to progress it further.
Q - Can I see a proof of my custom design before production?
A - Yes, we normally send a digital proof (a screen-shot of your design) via e-mail for your approval before we go ahead and engrave the slate.
Q - Can I return a personalised item?
A - As personalised items are made to order and cannot be resold, they cannot normally be returned unless faulty or incorrect.
3D printed miniatures FAQs
Q - What age and skill level are the 3D models suitable for?
A - These models should not be considered as toys. Due to the complexity, fragility and use of certain chemicals during the assembly process, they should only be attempted by persons over the age of 15 unless supervised by an adult. And whilst the assembly overall is very simple, the preparation and finishing of a model requires at least some moderate experience in the modelling hobby.
Q - What do I glue the parts together with?
A - Any proprietary cyanoacrylate glue will work. PLEASE FOLLOW ALL THE MANUFACTURER'S SAFETY INFORMATION WHEN USING ANY CHEMICAL PRODUCT.
Q - What do I use to prime/paint the model?
A - Any regular model paint primer is okay to use . You will need, of course, to ensure that this is compatible with the paints you intend to use for the final finish. Any model paint can be used to add some colour to the primed miniature.
Once again, thank you for your interest and we hope it was a pleasant experience.
