The Messerschmitt Bf 109 G-6, popularly called the "Gustav," was the most mass-produced variant of the legendary German World War II fighter. Built to counter improving Allied aircraft, it featured heavier firepower, the upgraded Daimler-Benz DB 605 engine, and signature cockpit cowl bulges (Beule) to accommodate larger dual 13mm machine guns.
